Sustainability
Yesterday's scraps are tomorrow's solution. Since our inception and well before it became a global necessity, sustainable design and manufacturing has been part of our DNA.
At TAP® Acoustics, sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We have been committed to sustainable design and manufacturing from the very beginning, long before it became a global necessity.
As pioneers in high-performance acoustic finishes and textiles, we take pride in using recycled materials, predominantly post-consumer PET plastic, to make a direct contribution towards achieving a circular economy.
Here’s what we have achieved since 2004...
We have recycled
1800 TONNES
of PET plastic to make our acoustic products.
We have diverted
120 MILLION
600ml plastic drink bottles, from landfill and waterways.
Reduced
900 TONNES
of CO2 emissions by R-PET.
Prevented
130 MILLION
black balloons, filled with carbon pollution, from warming our planet.
With 275 million tonnes of plastic waste generated globally each year, TAP® is proving that PET waste can be successfully upcycled into a value-added resource that meets growing market demand for interior finishes.
With alarming amount of plastic waste generated globally each year, we at TAP Acoustics recognize the importance of finding innovative ways to reuse and upcycle this waste. Our commitment to sustainability is evident in our use of recycled materials to create value-added resources that meet growing market demand for interior finishes.
By using post-consumer PET plastic waste, we are not only reducing the amount of plastic waste that ends up in landfills and oceans, but also promoting a sustainable future for generations to come.

GRS
Our commitment to proving our green footprint and mapping the supply chain ensured that we become GRS certified.
The Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) and Global Recycled Standard (GRS) are international, voluntary standards that set requirements for third-party certification of recycled input and chain of custody. The shared goal of the standards is to increase the use of recycled materials. The GRS includes additional criteria for social and environmental processing requirements and chemical restrictions.
All our products including TAP® and HIloft Polywool® are Green Pro certified and are among the TOP 5 products in their respective categories.
